A fourth-generation Californian, I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2010, my family and I relocated from California to Germany, to further our experience of community life and to connect our teenage kids with their paternal German roots. We live in a lovely pioneering eco-village called Lebensgarten (Garden of Life).
It was while working for a large industrial Japanese company back in 1988 that I began to proofread and copy-edit English product brochures, annual reports and even scientific papers for my Japanese colleagues. Since then, my work has greatly expanded to include many diverse forms of written communication.
My current professional focus is English language copy-editing and German to English text translation. I work with all forms of written English – from websites and brochures to journalistic articles, scientific papers and college theses. I have translated academic articles and entire books (see Published Works).
Since 2012, I’ve also been a regular contributor to Share International magazine, writing on social justice and issues that are transforming our world.
I look forward to hearing from you. Please visit my contact page to enquire further about my services.
